Aims and Objectives

Gambling Therapy (GT) aims to provide timely, expert and non-judgemental advice and support to anyone who is adversely affected by problem gambling.

The one-to-one text-based helpline is available 7 days a week (9am-2am weekdays, and from 10am-10pm at the weekends). GT also offers regular, facilitated groups, and the team provides an email support service for out of hours enquiries. Emails are usually responded to within 24 hours.

The Gambling Therapy team is comprised of experienced counsellors, psychologists and peer support advisors – trained to a high standard. The GT team has access to a constantly updated database of resources to assist them in offering localised support to those who need it, wherever they may be in the world.

The Gambling Therapy team is ready to support anyone who is adversely affected by gambling – whatever their circumstances. Often gamblers struggle with feelings of guilt and shame and the ability to speak to someone anonymously can be an important first step out of isolation.
