…. is usually the best advice.
That is something I have either heard at a meeting or read here somewhere and it’s true.
Our addiction  will give us lots of "reasons" we we don’t need to take some of the advice we here.  Why does it do that? because it might actually help us stop gambling or make it harder to place a bet.
So, what advice don’t you like hearing?
Get excluded from where ever it is you normally gamble? 
Let someone hold your cash/credit cards etc?
Make yourself accountable?
Get to Gamblers Anonymous meetings?
Be honest with partners/family etc?
There are lots of things our addiction doesn’t want us to do.  I try and make a habit of not listening to it.
