      Hello all,
I have just popped over from "the other side" so to speak to ask for a little favour. If you have time you could have a glance at my thread on F & F and you will see the problems I’m having.
What I specifically want help with is your views on "controlled gambling" This is the only option I am being offered by my husband at the moment. I know Fandangoes and Paul did give me their thoughts but I really need it reinforcing again so that when I tackle my husband I feel more sure of my ground. Do you know anybody who having been reckless is able now to gamble in a controlled way? Do you know anybody who has managed to stop without outside support?
My husband loves his gambling and says he is prepared to happily lose a certain amount because he loves the buzz/thrill so much. I hate it with a vengeance but could maybe tolerate it if I felt sure it was controlled to a certain extent although in doing that I will never have the marriage I wanted. I will always view it as compromised. But "compromised" is what I may have to settle for at least until my children are a little older.
I would very much appreciate your thoughts on this.
      Jilly.
