      Dear Blue Panda,
I’m so sorry to hear all that you have been going through. Life isn’t fair, that’s for sure. It seems as though you’ve had more than your fair share of troubles as of late. So many of us somehow use gambling as a coping mechanism. The problem is, it becomes a problem in it’s own right. The mess and chaos it makes of our finances, time, and thought makes our original problems so much worse.
But there is hope. And coming here and voicing your problem is a good start. Read about what others have done to help them stop, use the resources here as much as you can! Learn about barriers, how to stop having access to the money you use to gamble for example. It is good to know you are not alone with this. Keep posting. Laura

Hi Blue Panda, I was just reading your story and noticed a few similarities to mine, we are the same age and both addicted to slot machines, and I also wander how it become such a big problem. I am in no way cured of compulsive gambling either, so probably not the best person to give out advice, but I thought I would just give you some support, and let you know your not alone, never give up and keep going. And please come back and let us know how your doing, one day at a time you will beat this !
