Hello everyone, I’m new to the site and just wanted to let you know a little about me. It appears i’m a lot younger than the majority on here, being just 18. This has unfortunately for me, turned out to be a very dangerous age, where it should have been a gateway into adult life.
My gambling addiction previously started with smaller bets, going to the local bookies with mates, and rarely winning. This was on the machines for the most part, along with football bets, however, after gaining employment in a part time job, I began to increase the size of my bets. I’m not on a particularly good wage and so this limited me thankfully. Despite this, my friend suggested I joined an online site, which I did and began to win, what would be for my age, a considerable amount of money.
Obviously, being young and fairly naive, I thought the good times would continue and so today I sit here having lost £200. Now for some of you that will seem very little, however, in my shoes, without a well payed job, it is in fact a big hole in my bank account. I have excluded myself from the site, however, I want to get out of this habit now, before I am consumed anymore. I don’t have the time to go to meetings as I am studying for exams coming shortly, however, I was wondering if anyone could offer me advice, such as goals to set myself etc.
      Thanks
