Wow I read most of this, I live in Ontario as well. I am also same age as you 34 now. Throughout my up and down gambling career I have lost probably about 25k. I reached new lows just this past weekend. I had won 15k (starting with the chiefs win against the 9ers) back writing down all of my debits and credits every day I would play roulette, 1st 12’s and 2nd 12’s if I won 5-10$ I would stop, that was good for the day. I went about 3 months winning at least $5 a day… until last weekend. I lost 10k in 48 hours. I lost $18 on roulette and it started from there and turned into 10 grand. I have felt sick since. I tried to win it back on the CFL of all things, took an under instead of who I thought would win and that was the end. I blocked all my apps. I have been off and on with someone from connex Ontario but just reached back out to her for help, telling her I never took her seriously the first time. I’m so ashamed in myself, I think of doing one bet on sports for 10k to win it all back every day. How did you ever beat this circle of hell??? I hope someday you can share your knowledge of what really helped you! I could never tell my girlfriend I have been with for 16 months now after the chiefs game she told me she would leave me if I didn’t stop so throughout the months of accumulating the 10k I never once told her, and last weekend when I couldn’t smile at my parents cottage on the lake I just told her all week I was depressed over my job, which isn’t really lying but would have been much happier without losing what I was hoping was getting me closer to all-time breaking my gambling +/- record. I hope you get to read this Murr. I’d love to find out what really helped you, especially as being a lover of sports.
