I know ive posted this before but we were just talking aobut the importance of acceptance in the group so i thought Id repost.
Some people are afraid of their next bet. My recovery isn’t based on fear it’s based on acceptance. I accept that Im a Compulsive Gambler. I accept that compulsive gamblers can not gamble "normally". Having accepted both those things I accept that I can’t gamble normally. Having accepted this I now have nothing to fear.
Every human on the planet has an ego, it’s hard to accept that something has beaten us. Im pleased to say that I accept that gambling has beaten me. Now I can get on with recovery.
Recovery doesn’t have to be complicated.
