I don’t know how much more I can take of this cat and mouse game. Telling myself I will play slots with 30.00 and win 300.00 and then lose 300.00 … Over and Over and Over time and time again.
Cut up the debit card and then write checks. Robbing Peter to Pay Paul. Work so hard and give it to the damn machines. Whom are making millions and paying out pennies on the dollar.
I have to get it in my head to stop giving them m hard earned money for what ….. to try and win a few hundred and losing thousands and thousands. My God, I could of owned a home, had nice furniture and drive a car that isn’t a JUNK. It’s me, I have a major disease. I am a Compulsive Gambler and I am going to struggle with this until I can get some clean time. Or until I die.
Tomorrow will be day one again. I will accumulate some clean time. I say it over and over, and I better start remembering my words. I just want the strength and the understanding that I can not gamble. I will keep going on day to day and praying that I will fight with everything to not turn the car and do the most important things in life and that is to Live without this pain.

Hello and thanks for starting a thread in the Gambling Therapy forums

Here at Gambling Therapy we pride ourselves on being a caring and diverse online community who can help and support you with the difficulties you’re currently facing. We understand that this might be a tough time for you, particularly if you’re new to recovery, so come here as often as you need to and participate in the forums, access online groups and connect to the live advice helpline if you need one to one support. We’re in this together!

Here on the forum you can share your experiences in a safe, supportive and accepting environment. The beauty of writing it all down is that you can take your time and you will be creating a record of your progress that you can look back on if it ever feels like you’re not moving forward. So, share as much or as little as you like but do try to stick to keeping just one thread in this forum so people know where to find you if they want to be updated on your progress or share something with you.

      And on that note….

I’m going to hand you over to our community because I’m sure they will have some words of wisdom for you 🙂

      Take care

      The Gambling Therapy Team

PS: Let me just remind you to take a look at our
privacy policy and terms and conditions so you know how it all works!
