Can’t believe that I came to the point that I can’t stop it and I always wanted to go and play slot machines. It started when my husband and I was starting to watch my husband play and bet in some slot machines. Sometimes he wins but usually he is losing. then I learned how to play and starting to become addicted with it. but in my experience, I am always in the losing end. I’ve seen people win and witnessed really good figures in their machines, but hardly with mine. My gambling habits started last December of 2013. And right in this moment of posting this message, I feel really miserable. I am glad that when I type in google that I have a gambling problem, this site went up. Oh how I wish this will stop soon before I totally become broke.

Hello and thanks for starting a thread in the Gambling Therapy forums
Here at Gambling Therapy we pride ourselves on being a caring and diverse online community who can help and support you with the difficulties youre currently facing. We understand that this might be a tough time for you, particularly if youre new to recovery, so come here as often as you need to and participate in the forums, access online groups and connect to the live advice helpline if you need one to one support. Were in this together!
Here on the forum you can share your experiences in a safe, supportive and accepting environment. The beauty of writing it all down is that you can take your time and you will be creating a record of your progress that you can look back on if it ever feels like youre not moving forward. So, share as much or as little as you like but do try to stick to keeping just one thread in this forum so people know where to find you if they want to be updated on your progress or share something with you.
And on that note….
Im going to hand you over to our community because Im sure they will have some words of wisdom for you 🙂
Take care
The Gambling Therapy Team

Welcome, from the prairie
I’m off to work, but I just wanted to say I am glad you found this site. Don’t let those good figures fool you. Eventually, they will lose or they already lost and are trying to catch up. It’s a losers game. Recovery is the only winning game we can play. Glad to have you join in! We’re all in this together!

Welcome to this site. I hope you will find a lot of useful information and, especially, the support of other people who understand a bit about your struggle and can encourage you to live without gambling. Icandothis, above, has pointed out that important truth – gambling is always going to lead to loss; recovery is the ‘winning’ way! Perhaps you can get into some live groups, too?
