Hi everyone! i just discovered this forum and i thought it ll be a good idea if i share some thoughts here and “verbalise” it for the first time.
i read some stories here pretty close to mine and i think it will help me to relief and relax.
My name is Vlad, i’m from Romania and i m 30 years old.
I ve started gambling since i was 10 years old with sport betting and i was ok till my 20’s when i discovered slots machines. I was admited to a great university with big grades and everything was fine. i started selling weed in my university campus and i made pretty good money but that was the moment when my life turned wrong…all the money i started to make since those days went in casinos…i quited university i hired in a good job and had a sexy and smart girl. of course she left me because of the gambling and lost my job of course.
Now i m 30 i lost 4 good girlfriends many good and well paid jobs and lost all friends and relatives. This year i lost my last 3 good friends because i took money and never paid back (i understand them because i m a very stressful person) . A month ago i stoled from my company 2k Euros, ofcourse they kicked me off. i took from my girlfriend her last money and of course she left me too. I stole jewlery from my parents and sell them. They told me to suicide.
So today i m pretty alone, just myself living in an old forgotten car somewhere in a forest with 0 money in my pocket but it s ok because i m not very social anyway.
i closed all my betting accounts and i found a job in germany . one man pays me everything to get there tomorrow and i hope i wont dissapoint anybody from now on.
I m not seeking attention i just want to try this kind of therapy meaning speaking about my problems.
If you read this i wish you to stay strong, everything will be ok. i dont know how but we all gonna figure it out.
Best regards from a hopefull maniac.

Hello and thanks for starting a thread in the Gambling Therapy forums. By posting to the forums you’re allowing the diverse and caring Gambling Therapy community to help support you through the difficulties you’re facing.

This may well be a tough time for you – particularly if you’re new to recovery, so we encourage you to post here as often as you need to, as well as making use of the online groups and the live advice helpline if you’d like some one-to-one support. We’re all in this together! If you’re a new member, you are warmly invited to join Charles in one of the New Members Practical Advice groups (Mondays at 21:00 UK Time and Thursdays at 19:00 UK Time).

The forum is a great place to share your experiences in a safe, supportive and accepting environment. By writing it all down you can start to build a record of your progress that you can look back on – particularly useful if you’re ever feeling stuck. Share as much or as little as you like – but you’re encouraged to stick to keeping to just one thread in this forum – so people know where to find you to check in on your progress or to share something with you.

The Gambling Therapy staff team don’t generally post to the forums as it is a peer support area of the site – so we’ll hand you over to the community from here.

      Take care,

      The Gambling Therapy Team

PS. Please take a moment to review our privacy policy and terms and conditions so you know how it all works.

Hi Vlad and welcome, well done on looking for help.

First my apologies – it shouldn’t have taken this long to authorise your first pos.

You are not alone with this problem. Read the other stories here and you will read a lot that you will relate to. You will salso see the success stories – what are they doing that you can apply to your own situation?

Well done on closong those accounts, I recommend getting a blocker for your devices azs well – so you can’t open any new ones.

You are welcome here of course but alos check out the other support you will have in Germany. If you click on this link and haver over Germany on the map you will see you have a lot of options. https://www.gamblingtherapy.org/information/where-can-i-get-help/

Well done again and i look forward to reading your progress.
