I’m one day away from a ‘first bet’
placing it would cause me upset
a lot of stupid and unwanted debt
and mega amount of inner regret
I don’t want to be on the slide
back on the roller coaster ride
I don’t want to escape and hide
I have to cope if urges come inside
With cravings I have to be aware
and make sure barriers are there
with other CG’s – I need to share
because they understand and care
As a compulsive gambler I need to say
to keep my terrible gambling at bay
that I need to do things the right way
and know my recovery is just for today
