Group Thirty OneTaking baby stepsDiscussion Points  What do we mean by baby steps?  How important is it to take things slowly in manageable ways?  What happens if we attempt to take things too quickly?  Ask the group to look at the baby steps they are currently taking.

When it comes to making New Year’s resolutions we can all be tempted into thinking BIG, and there’s nothing wrong with having big long term goals. But can we break these ambitious future aims down into more manageable, realistic, short term targets to keep us focussed and not overwhelmed? If you’re thinking about making New Year’s resolutions about your gambling or how you support a gambler please come to this group and we can throw around a few ideas with you 🙂

Hi Bina, and you are right to be proud. Whether someone has been free form gambling for days, weeks, months, years or longer they all did it the same way – one day at a time.

Keep using support, I recomend starting your own thread in the My Journal Forum, you can get a lot of support there and is is also good to then be able to look back as you progress in recovery.
