Hi Kris, you can stop I promise you. Take a look at the My Journal Forum. You will read a lot of stories that you will relate to. You will also see the success stories and the things that are helping others stop gambling.

The trick is to not try and do it on your own – if that worked then none of us would be here. If you scroll to the bottom of the My Journal Forum and click on “New Topic” you can tell us a little about your own story and situation. You will get a lot of feedback and support there.

      Hi Charles,

Negative things are a lot .. self hate to almost kill yourself every time after a relapse.

Realistic alternatives – blocked all credit cards, uninstalled all the applications associated with money. Gave the control of my entire finances to my wife. @note – i was still able to gamble yesterday after all these controls

Positive things i say- i see it as a way i am being tought to manage my money well.. may be in future i will have 5 folds of what i am earning and turning to gambling at that point in my life would have costed more.. so it’s ok it happened now but i just want to get rid of it.

Hi Jo, Yeah, I can remember those negative feelings. You now have a lot of support available to you, both here and elsewhere..

I recommend starting a thread in the My Journal Forum. You will get a lot of feedback and support there. It will also mean you can rread back as you progress in recovery. Read the other stories there as well, you will see the sorts of things that have helped others stop gambling.

I look forward to reding your thread therte, hopefully I will see you in a group here as well.
