Hello All
I’m pleased to welcome a new volunteer to Gambling Therapy who is already known to many of you. Monique joined Gambling Therapy three years ago looking for support and happily she found that through our therapeutic online community and trained staff and volunteers. More recently Monique has expressed an interest in volunteering with us and as her professional background is in psychotherapy and Monique has had her own experience of supporting a problem gambler, we feel this is an excellent idea. Although Monique will no longer use the site for her own support she will continue to support others in our forums as well as taking on some additional responsibilities in the near future.
I hope you will all support Monique in her transition from service user to volunteer, I know she is going to become a valuable member of our team and I’m very much looking forward to working with her.
Welcome to the team Monique 🙂
Kind regards
Janey

Congratulations to the GT team on enlisting the services of such a kind and wonderfully wise woman. I think she is a perfect fit.
And thank you so much Monique, for offering more of your time, support and expertise to this community – and for making it official!

Thank you Janey for your kind welcome and also to Adele for such an enthusiastic endorsement. I do appreciate both so much.
I have indeed had a lot of support from GT and hope to contribute to this wonderful community to the best of my ability in my new role.
I have always learned a lot from all the community members as well as the dedicated staff and volunteers and I am sure that will continue now that I have made my part more ‘official’, as Adele puts it.
I look forward to working with everyone whatever their place is in the community. We all have one central goal and that is to improve the quality of life for all who are affected by compulsive gambling.
