Hello everyone, my name is Nurzhan, I am writing from Kazakhstan (sorry for my english) . I’m 24 and I’m a bettor.
I have been betting for over 10 years, I just can’t quit this business, the fact is that only last year I realized that betting is bad, but I still can’t quit.
And so my main problem is that, as the salary comes in, I immediately start betting, the money worked in a month, I screw it up in 1-2 days.
I used to borrow from friends, because of this I took out loans, loans, to this day I pay off. Now I don’t play in debt, only my own.I recently put my phone in a pawnshop, so I was left without it(((
if there is no money, then I do not bet, as they appear, I immediately start to bet.please help..

Hello and thanks for starting a thread in the Gambling Therapy forums
Here at Gambling Therapy we pride ourselves on being a caring and diverse online community who can help and support you with the difficulties you’re currently facing. We understand that this might be a tough time for you, particularly if you’re new to recovery, so come here as often as you need to and participate in the forums, access online groups and connect to the live advice helpline if you need one to one support. We’re in this together!
Here on the forum you can share your experiences in a safe, supportive and accepting environment. The beauty of writing it all down is that you can take your time and you will be creating a record of your progress that you can look back on if it ever feels like you’re not moving forward. So, share as much or as little as you like but do try to stick to keeping just one thread in this forum so people know where to find you if they want to be updated on your progress or share something with you.
As well as the forums New Members are invited to join Charles in the New Members Practical Advice Group On Mondays at 21:00 (UK) and Thursday at 19:00(UK)
And on that note….
I’m going to hand you over to our community because I’m sure they will have some words of wisdom for you 🙂
Take care
The Gambling Therapy Team

Hi skandanavia,
Welcome to the forum and well done on taking a positive step towards being gamble free.
It sounds like at the moment, you like a lot of compulsive gamblers myself included cannot currently trust yourself with any money that you have access to. To help with this issue, a first step could be asking someone you trust to manage your money for now. You would still control your money and get to decide what it is spent on, but that spend would always go through your trusted friend.
I would also recommend attending the New Members Practical Advice Group On Mondays at 21:00 (UK) and Thursday at 19:00(UK). You can get some really great advice there that may be a big help.
