    Hi owen,

    welcome to GT.
like you, i was so worried about my actions in gambling compulsively as i am only 19.
However, its good that you realized that you have a problem and is attempting to seek help.
You must realize that you can no longer trust yourself in gambling responsibly.
Hopefully, you would ban yourself from those places or maybe call and talk to someone when the urges come.
Talking to someone before going to gamble really helps and reminds you of what you are really doing.

    All the best.
    Stormy.

    hi sillyme.

like you, i have gone long periods without gambling. but sometimes when the time comes, i would just sit in front of the computer and click away. However, i also feel out of control when sitting there and playing. Its like i would do anything to get back to even after losing- which includes increasing my bets by a lot! Its good that you realize that you scare yourself due to this habit. I think that it is could be a huge problem if you allow this to happen again.

    So stay away!

    Hi slot,

Good to hear that you’re getting along with your new counselor.
You must always feel comfortable with your counselors so that you can share anything with them.
Go along with your treatment plan and all the best!

    Hi Memento,

    Welcome to GT.
Yes you’re right, all of us had to hit rock bottom before finally admitting we have a problem.
Like you, i also used to think that i have a way of beating the gambling system and winning. However, all those were just false lies and nothing is certain.
Its never too late for a change although you have really damaged your financial situation.
Think about it, if you win your life back from gambling, it is priceless and worth more than all those money you have loss. Remember, recovery is pricess.

    Best wishes,

    Hi schnauzerlvr,

and welcome to GT. living in Las Vegas must be tough with all the temptations around you.
My advice to you is to stick to GA and dont give up on it. Open yourself more in the meetings and share with your fellow CGs. And yes, you should use this as a daily reminder to combat gambling. Hope to see you posting here more frequently.

    Best wishes,
