Hi guys, I am new here and would love to tell my story and tell you how I feel hoping to pass on some wisdom etc. English is not my first language so you can find some spelling mistakes
It all started when i was 16 (I am 31 now). Started playing poker with friends and it was small numbers, Maybe 10 euros each month. When i was 18 i started to go to casinos with a friend like once a month and sometimes online casinos. This went on for years and i had it under control.
2 years ago i was diagnosed with a panic disorder and started gambling more because it helped with the panic attacks. Before I knew I lost 1000 euros and this was my max on my creditcard. I was so upset i called my parents and gave away my cards and got an allowance. Fast forward a year later ( last month) and I had the idea that i could do it again, i recovered from the panic disorder and was stable again. Well 3000 euros later i feel bad and my savings is almost all gone.
I do feel bad but im trying to realize why i relapsed back. I dont even enjoy gambling anymore. And i realised, i never experienced how easy it was too fall back again and that i needed this experience to learn from. I need to take this experience and use it to stop forever, knowing i(we) will never win.
I do catch myself thinking about the lost money and what i could have done with it, thats why im asking for tips or just some wisdom about this, how did you let it go?
I decided too start doing good, stopped gambling, activated gamban and made a gameplan. Its going to take some time but by doing good i will save money, start building up again and eventually this will be an old memory with no more power. And yes this can be dangerous too fall back again but this is what i meant in the beginning, i didn’t know how easy it was too fall back again, this would not happen again and if somebody wants to talk then reach out to me, i would love to talk to you.
Thank you for reading!
With only love,
Mrcrown
P.s this is day 1
I will keep you guys updated! -
