Liz called me today to say that her husband has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, which has metastized to the glands of his neck and he has 4 spots on his liver. He just spent two weeks in hospital and Liz said he is losing weight fast. They are seeing an oncologist tomorrow and they have been told that he may have a year to live if he responds to chemotherapy. If he does not respond, he has about 5 to 6 months. Liz said that he is still trying to work, though is he "retires" from work, it will take about two months before they start getting his retirement benefits. She hasn’t been posting as she does not have computer access. For those of you who would like Liz’s address to perhaps send her a card of friendship/encouragement, email me, and I’ll give you her address. Carole
