      Hello all,

I am here because I want to quit gambling and in order to do so, I must hold myself accountable each day. I have been gambling for over 13 years and it has gotten the best of me many many times. My method of gambling is sports betting. My choices are not only ruining my opportunities in life but they are also negatively impacting everyone in my family. I have been here more times than I can count and seldom do I make it past a week. My quit might last longer than a week, but my posting does not. Which is a recipe for disaster, I know. Anyway, just like everything in life; we get out what we put in. I wasn’t getting the most out of my quit because I didn’t put much into it. I am going to do differently this time.
I know if I continue down this journey I will have a lot of regrets when it comes to my life. We are only here on earth for such a short period of time, and I do not want that to be regretful. I also will attend a GA meeting at least once a week to help with my accountability.
As I’ve said, I’ve been here numerous times without any sustained success, but that can change if I make changes to my life. Because after all it is my life and it is my choice each day to sustain from placing a wager.
Deep down I know I can never win with gambling. I might win (at times) but I end up giving it all back plus more money. In the end, it is really pointless. Gambling impacts my life in such a negative way, yet I still feel the need to go back and place a wager. It’s sad, but one thing I’m going to do is focus more on the present, the moment vs all the negatively associated with gambling. Today is a new day and one I can make a better choice in order to help make my future better.
I hope all of you are doing well today. Stay strong, stay positive and stay on the journey; I know it will be worth it in the end.
      Thanks for reading!

      Craig

I am here for another day of refraining from making any wagers or partaking in any gambling of any sorts. I am extremely rushed with time today so I will make it short but I needed to hold myself accountable with my daily post. I hope all of you find the strength, courage, wisdom and motivation to continue on this journey for a better life. I know I will do so today!

      Have a great day!
